那时的自己还年轻，现在回想起来，竟有些不可思议——在那个信息并不发达的年代，一个年轻画家能够拥有属于自己的展览，得到那么多人的支持与喜爱，是一件多么幸福而珍贵的事情。

岁月匆匆，照片里的许多人早已失去了联系，但看到这些老照片，仿佛又回到了那个充满理想与激情的年代。那些为艺术奔波的日子，那些与老师、学生和读者交流的瞬间，都成了人生中最温暖的记忆。年轻时的热血与纯真虽已远去，却始终在心底闪着光，提醒着我：曾经那个满怀梦想的青年，一直都没有离开。

I can no longer remember exactly what year it was—probably sometime in the 1980s. I even took leave from work to travel to Guangxi, where I held a small-scale exhibition of my comic and illustrated works in Guilin. In the group photo are teachers and students from local art institutions, as well as people who today would probably be called my “fans.”

I was still very young then. Looking back now, it all feels a little unbelievable. In an era when information was not so easily accessible, for a young artist to have his own exhibition and receive so much support and appreciation from others was truly a wonderful and precious experience.

Time has passed so quickly. Many of the people in these photographs have long since lost touch, but whenever I look at these old pictures, I feel as though I have returned to those years filled with ideals and passion. The days spent pursuing art, and the moments shared with teachers, students, and readers, have become some of the warmest memories of my life.

The passion and innocence of youth may have faded with time, but they still shine quietly in my heart, reminding me that the young man who once carried so many dreams has never truly left.

那时候去外地办画展，交通远没有今天方便，但每到一个地方，我总会抽时间四处走走。

街头巷尾、古镇乡村、山川河流，还有那些擦肩而过的人，都让我觉得新鲜。随身带着速写本，看到喜欢的景致，便停下来画上几笔。有时是一座老房子，有时是一棵树，有时只是路边一位正在劳作的老人。

这些速写，当时只是随手记录，却在日后的创作中不断给予我养分。许多作品里的场景、人物和气息，都源于那些旅途中积累的点滴。

创作从来不是闭门造车，而是在生活中不断观察、不断感受。一路走，一路画，也一路成长。

Back then, traveling to other cities for art exhibitions wasn’t nearly as convenient as it is today. But wherever I went, I always made time to explore.

I wandered through streets and alleys, old towns and villages, mountains and rivers. The people I met along the way, even those I only passed by, all felt like part of the journey. I always carried a sketchbook with me. Whenever a scene caught my eye, I would stop and make a quick sketch—sometimes an old house, sometimes a tree, and sometimes an elderly villager quietly working by the roadside.

At the time, these sketches were simply casual observations. Looking back, they became a lasting source of inspiration for my later paintings. Many of the scenes, figures, and atmospheres in my works can be traced back to those moments collected during my travels.

Art is never created in isolation. It grows from observing life, experiencing the world, and embracing every journey. Step by step, sketch by sketch, I grew as both an artist and a person.

On Sketching from Life

When I was young, I believed that painting depended mainly on technique. The lines had to be precise, the structure accurate, and the image realistic. I would go out to sketch from life, but more as a task—seeing mountains as mountains, people as people—eager to record what was in front of me. I thought that as long as it looked right, the job was done.

As time went on and I painted more, I began to realize that likeness alone was not enough. The images were complete, yet something always felt missing—there was no spirit, no atmosphere. When I returned to sketching from life, my mindset had changed. I no longer focused only on outward forms, but began to observe the changes of light, the feeling of the air, and the fleeting expressions of people. Gradually, I understood that sketching is not about copying what you see, but about keeping what you feel.

Later in life, after traveling more and meeting more people, I found that I no longer needed to rely on direct observation all the time. Many images began to grow from memory. The outlines of mountains, the figures on the street, the sensation of the wind—these would return to the brush naturally. Only then did I truly understand that the value of sketching does not lie in how much you draw at the time, but in how it quietly settles within you and becomes part of your work.

Looking back today, sketching from life has evolved from “seeing,” to “feeling,” and finally to “living within.” Painting is the same—from depicting form, to capturing spirit, and ultimately to expressing the human essence. What endures is not merely what the eyes have seen, but what the heart has remembered.

王可伟（生于1950年），是中国著名的油画家、水墨画家及连环画家。现为中国美术家协会会员，并隶属于中国多个重要艺术团体，曾在多所高等艺术院校及研究机构担任客座教授和研究员。曾任人民美术出版社《连环画报》编辑部美术编辑，同时作为美术教育工作者，长期致力于艺术人才培养与创作理论研究。并一直保持艺术创作。

自幼酷爱绘画。在父亲的影响下，早年便接触并系统学习油画。其父活跃于中国写实主义油画发展的重要阶段，长期从事严谨的写实绘画创作，作品体现出扎实的造型能力与典型的时代审美特征。在这样的艺术氛围中成长，使其自幼打下了坚实的绘画基础。其后又在老一辈油画家及名师指导下，进一步研习西方美术史与创作理论，不断深化艺术理解。

上世纪60年代，去中国农村插队期间，在田间地头为农民群众画了大量速写。在村舍、高原、峡谷、黄河画了大批的风景写生。在部队创作了大量的插图、连环画、宣传画，同时在多种报刊上发表。在艰苦生活的磨练中，形成了自己的人生观和艺术观。

上世纪80年代末，从部队美术创作室转业。1988年赴美国及欧洲等国交流、学习油画，历时三年。

90年代初留学归国后，本想一心投入在油画创作上，但一直找不到属于自己的方向，所以暂时先回归到连环画钢笔画的创作中，这就是封笔之作《楚汉之战》。

在创作过程中，忽对中华五千年历史有所感悟，以激情为动力，创作了大量中国历史题材油画，代表作品有《兵车行》、《打马球》、《国殇》、《将军猎》、《武圣》、《大唐皇帝会见外国使臣》、《三英战吕布》《火牛陷阵》等，多次参展、拍卖、出版，并被海内外人士、机构收藏。

中国首创连环画分镜式画法，开创以现代军事题材为表现内容的连环画作品先河。二十世纪七十到八十年代创作大批军事题材连环画，代表作品有《珍珠港事件始末记》《莱特湾大海战》《瓜岛之战》、《影子武士》《唐·吉诃德》等。

画家感言

写实主义的艺术教育深深影响了我对艺术形式的探索，以及个人风格的形成。我始终注重写生。即使在影像技术高度发达的今天，仍坚持以心体察、以手记录，从现实生活中获取最直接而真实的感受，并将其转化为画面表达。

在创作中，我力求使每一块色彩、每一笔笔触都充满激情，既蕴含审美意趣，又达到传神的境界。中华民族五千年的厚重历史，是我取之不尽的创作源泉。 我以写实为基础，融入浪漫而富有张力的表现手法，张扬个性化的艺术语言，构筑属于自己的艺术世界。

我钟爱以中国古代历史与传统题材为主题的油画创作。步入这一领域，使我的灵感与激情得以更加充分地激发与释放。我尤其偏爱创作那些具有张力与感染力的作品，因为在创作过程中，我能够与观者产生共振，共同感受到情绪的激荡与心灵的触动。

我庆幸自己生活在一个拥有五千年悠久历史的国度。置身于这样的精神宝库之中，丰富的题材取之不尽——无论是古诗词、文学名著，还是音乐艺术，皆时时触动我的内心，激发源源不断的创作灵感。在此基础上，融入我对西方绘画的理解与体悟，我也更加坚定地相信，未来能够创作出更多、更具表现力与感染力的作品。

作品欣赏

油画作品《兵车行》第二版， 用时2004年-2009年五年时间完成， 690cm × 220cm， 绘画生涯中最大尺寸的创作。灵感来自中国古诗人杜甫的同名诗词。主要描绘了战争征兵给百姓带来的苦难与离别之痛。通过送别出征士兵的场景，展现百姓被迫参军、家破人离的悲惨现实，同时表达了对连年战争的深切忧虑与批判。

油画作品《打马球》 2005年 180cm×180cm，画面中，几位唐代仕女骑马疾驰，挥杆击球，神情专注而又轻松欢快。 骏马奔腾、衣袂飞扬，尘土与光影交织出一片热烈而富有节奏的场面。既有竞技的紧张与速度，也洋溢着盛唐女性的自信与优雅。

油画作品《战神》 2003年，180cm×220cm ，画面中一位披甲将军立于战场中央，神情刚毅，身旁战马嘶鸣，尘土与硝烟弥漫。远处旌旗猎猎、骑兵冲锋，整体气氛紧张而壮烈，充满战意与力量感。

油画作品《国殇》1996年，180cm250cm，画面中战马嘶鸣、兵戈交错，士兵在混战中奋力拼杀，尘土与血色交织出一片悲壮景象。倒下的身躯与仍在冲锋的战士形成强烈对比，充满牺牲与抗争的张力。整体氛围呼应了中国古诗人屈原《国殇》中对阵亡将士的哀悼与礼赞，悲烈而庄严。

国画作品《三顾茅庐》2013年，123cm×70cm。画中讲述刘备为求贤才，三次亲自前往草庐拜访隐居的诸葛亮，表现出极大的诚意与谦逊。最终打动了诸葛亮出山辅佐，共同开启了蜀汉的事业。

国画作品《暮云千里》2016年，70cm×122cm，将军勒马凝视远方，神情沉静而坚毅，仿佛在苍茫天地间独自承受风云变幻。鹰立肩头、战马低嘶，动与静之间流露出一种历经征战后的冷峻与孤寂。

国画作品《飒露紫》2014年，70cm×70cm，“飒露子”是关羽的坐骑之一，传说中神骏非凡、通人性，常随其征战沙场。它象征着忠勇与威严，与关公形象相得益彰。

连环画作品《影子武士》，1984年发表，讲的是一个以影子身份行动的武士，在动荡局势中执行秘密任务的故事。

Around 1986, I made this sketch for foreign military trainees at the external training department of the National Defense University. In the blink of an eye, nearly 40 years have passed. I shared a couple of sketches a few years ago, and recently I came across these precious old photos again.
